The frustrating thing is that people who hate Republicans (just because they like Democrats) will ignore the facts and yell out "Bush lied" or some other comment that has nothing to do with the set of facts on display. It is that kind of purposeful ignorance (or whatever you want to call it) that has turned the voting public into a mass of lemmings.

I've had the experience of clicking on a 'tube video and getting the message "This video is not available in your country." -- You talk about an Orwellian moment...

@ Todd if the almighty media says it then it must be true .......... If the economy doesn't convince people to think for themselves then they never will.

Ignorance is bliss, and it is running rampant since January 20th. If you didn't see it before you'd better have your eye's open now. Remove your " ROSE " colored glasses.....!

Rep. Barney Frank and Sen. Chuck Schumer are taking advantage of the people of Massachusetts and New York, I really think the people of NY and Mass. would do us all a great favor and vote these self promoters out of office. They are directly responsible for the state of the union we are in.

I don't think anyone "hates" Republicans. Even the Republicans don't seem to know who is in charge these days. I mean, why not pick Howard Stern as their leader, since he's a popular talk show host like the other guy who's been cheering them on?

First of all, this was on Fox Noise, but let's say it's true & President Bush warned that our country would be experiencing the worst financial crisis since the Great Depression. I won't argue with that, but tell me this, please.

Why the heck didn't he inform the rest of us? (Duh?)   Please send me a video of Bush addressing the nation about this problem in one of his State of the Union Addresses or Press Conferences. I'm waiting.

By the way, this is from the AP in January 2008:

Yesterday in an interview with the Associated Press’s Deb Reichmann, Vice President Cheney repeatedly insisted that no one anticipated the looming U.S. financial crisis. “I don’t think anybody saw it coming,” he said.

So how can you post this blog entry? Which is it, Jarasan? Did Bush know about it and warn Congress but he failed to tell the Vice President?

Oh, if you want a link (sorry, no video) this is from Fox News. The headline reads "CHENEY SAYS NOBODY SAW ECONOMIC CRISIS COMING"

Just one more quote from the former Vice President from last year:

REICHMANN: But why, why didn’t you see such a huge downfall in the economy coming?

CHENEY: I suppose because nobody anywhere was smart enough to figure that out.

Sorry, I forgot about this. Here is a video (you asked for one) showing Pres Bush in 2002 encouraging low income people to buy homes. He said he wanted the mortgages to be easier. He also passed a bill that would let people with no money buy homes. Just listen to him in his own words.

Um, I think the point is that he DID warn the country. Also, in case you didn't notice, we were just attacked at the time, in the worst attack on our country since Pearl Harbor. The fact that he was able to warn the country AND defend us so well is tribute to the man.

The current administration seems like the junior varsity club. Ater a while of this nonsense, people will realize (hopefully) that they were manipulated into voting for this radical. Many have figured it out so far. Believe it or not, I heard a report yesterday that the majority of the investors out there -- the folks on Wall Street -- voted for Obama. The very guy who is wrecking Wall Street, they helped put in place.

The party of resistance:

You guys need to take Que from the CPAC convention last week.

Joe Scarborough, a former Republican congressman and current host of MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” warned the GOP against becoming the party of resistance and urged conservatives to tone down their rhetoric against Obama.

Frankly given the current economic debacle I can see a mass exodus of both Democrats and Republicans to the Libertarian party which seems to be the only party intent on preserving the Constitution as it is written and exponentially reduce the size and invasive reach of the federal government.
