Q: "What is the role of the SEC again?".
A1: To ignore the likes of Bernie Madoff, Allen Stanford, & Ken Lay -- while protecting us from the big bad Martha Stewart. or
A2: To secure the barn door, long after the horse is missing.

The SEC is government, yeah let's expand the government some more! No more guaranteed pensions for life and life long employment for these jerks, they get paid off our backs and do little if nothing at all..... and don't get fired? They need to be Spitzered. Thanks Rick, never thought the John Leibowitz would go after another liberal like Cramer, but Cramer broke the Golden Rule and critiqued the Prez. Obama.

The reason for all this lawlessness in the political and financial arena is that these guys know they will go unpunished by their fellow lawbreakers. The flagrancy is astounding. There is NO rule of law anymore.

But they sure can bust those Phish concert-goers, can't they? Laws apply to those evil pot smokers and they will bring out every federal agency and resource to infiltrate, attack, arrest and prosecute to the fullest extent of the "law". Millions of $ to prosecute pot smokers, 0$ to prosecute the a-holes who stole your pension and/or destroyed your country.

White collar crime has always got a slap on the hand. Maybe it will send a message since Medoff is jailed until June and can't walk around free.

I never trusted Jim Cramer. I can't help it.   I sat across from a "really nice guy" who said to me "Nancy. I'm trying to help you. Why won't you let me make you rich?"   Those words should have been big red flags, but I was a bit naive back then.   "Trust No One" was a great X-Files slogan.

BTW, I love Jarasan's comment. There must be a word for it, ya know when everything is related to someone. In this case, Obama wasn't directly to blame, but the reason Cramer got a slap on the wrist is because he criticized Obama. lol Next, we'll be hearing that Progresso laid off 100 workers and Jarasan will bring up the soup kitchen in DC where Michelle Obama served the poor, because that has to be the reason, right?

Oops - before I am corrected...didn't mean Cramer got a slap on the wrist, but that he's being exposed and criticized. Guess I was giggling so much, I had trouble typing. I'm wondering what will happen if the market takes a turn and the economy improves. Then I guess the Pubs will say it's a carry over from the Bush Administration. ;-)

Nancy, Cramer actually was lampooned and exposed by John Leibowitz (aka Jon Stewart) because he broke the golden rule of the liberals: no matter what don't critique #1 (Obama).

And Nancy your dig at "What I might say or bring up", is presumptive and cheap:

Here is the post she is talking about:

http://blogs.lotterypost.com/jarasan/2009/03/being-tested-at-the-soup-kitchen.htm

Nancy and company believe in "The Bush Six Degrees of Separation" no matter what and avoid the question at hand and demonize someone to draw attention away from the real issues.

The only reason the economy would change, would be if the current admin. got out of the way of the American people.

Remember this liberals, we haven't a king in 260 years.

Sorry Rick for responding on the comments.
