USA National Social Security LOtto: Magnificent Idea...

Published:

Last Edited: March 15, 2009, 12:03 am

NOTE: will like to add, i didn't come up with this idea, it was totallydavis who did....

COMMENT BY TOTALLYDAVIS:

"The American National Lottery will work as follows: Each resident and citizen of the U.S. will have an increased tax burden of $10 per year, which will raise an estimated $3 billion dollars of total prize money.

Social security numbers will be randomly drawn at the end of each year, and here's how that $3 billion breaks down:

GRAND PRIZE: $1 billion to be awarded to one lucky winner each year.

SECOND PRIZE: $100 million dollars each to FIVE second place winners.

RUNNERS UP: $1 million dollars to FIVE HUNDRED runners up.

This will leave approximately $1 billion dollars in additional tax revenue for the federal government.  All prizes will be tax free as they were generated through tax dollars to begin with."

Ok, so this isn't real.  But it's an idea.  What's yours?  How should a national lottery work?  Should the US be in the business of lotteries as a federal practice?  Is it a good idea to help raise additional taxes?  Should it be mandatory or not?

COMMENT BY PUMPI76: is a great idea but I think it should be studied more, perhaps study what more can be done that is productive...the only problem with that is that it is too large the sample and there will be 3 thousand majority winners for every 1 person a minority or black person or asian person...Not only is there minorities but there are groups that are WAY smaller than minorities...

COMMENT BY PUMPI76:

I think that 1 billion dollars is good...But it should also have a handful of 100 million dollar winners and 10 million dollars winners and 1 million dollars winners...Either 1 billion or 500 million...I really will like the idea of 1 billion dollar winner...

COMMENT BY PUMPI76: How about if we take 20 dollars max for each person at maximum 30 no more than 30...

but it should be researched more because minority people and people that make even more a small minority or obese people will not win any...

if they are going to do this sort of thing i feel they should carefully study who they are going to give it to, it should not be random...It should be a lottery yeah but at the same time they should be careful study who they are going to give it to...

at the same time i feel they should have free lottos but what can i say...

Again it should be researched more...

maybe certain prizes should be given regularly while other should be studied..LIke the 50 million and up is given regularly while the 10 million and 1 million are studied...

COMMENT BY PUMPI76:

but what about:

1 1billion dollar winner       [every year]

30 50 million dollar winers  [every year]

230 10 million dollar winners [every year]

3,200 1 million dollar winners [every year]

------------------------------------------------

=   8 billion dollars

and 1 billion as tax for the government.....

And all this by taking 30 dollars a year as tax...

What if other countries began doing this...

COMMENT BY PUMPI76: I am glad because out of the 3,200 people that will win the 1 million dollars, half will be women plus there would be more wanna be lotto crackers...[from movie "SWORDFISH"]....

sincerely,

SWORDFISH, from movie Swordfish with John Travolta....

Some people may say, why have a pannel that reviews people eligable for the 1 million dollars amounts...
To those of you who are reading and you know who you are and have better sense...You know this should be done...
this is how i display my bias and not about that crap of conservative or liberal...
i really wonder about that saying that says: United We Stand...LOL...
anyways is a magnificent idea....

God knows that someone that studied science, should not have the same weight as someone that didnt on this events...But again 99.8.3.3.4.1.2% of the people study what? Bussiness...Again there should be a panel that reviews this stuff, similar to the panel that reviews grants in colleges/universities, well same thing...
they don't even check to see if 100% of Americans have a toilet, computers, etc, and i say that laughingly...

This idea is by TNticketLOser: don't know anything about politics or health care but this MIGHT be a good idea: "take all that money and return it into 100 thousand dollar winners.Let everyone get a chance of reducing their debt."

don't know but for some reason i always believed that billionaires will be good for the economy...So about the billionaire part, i think is a good to go...

about paying the debt it sounds like a good idea...but not everyone has a 100,000 debt, i wonder what kind of debt are we talking about, who has a 100,000 debt...Credit card debts should be like less than 25,000 dollars...25,000 divided by 1 million = 40....3,200 x 40 = 128,000 people...3,800 x 40 = 152,000 + 128,000 = 280,000 winners every year...in 4 years there will be 1 million....Wish it was in 3 years..Very good way of clearing things out...If is more 25,000 and is 100,000 i don't know for you don't want to have a small number of winners in that case...
This would have to be done like in depression times, because otherwise everyone will try and get in debt...

I still think a pannel should be chosen for it...What i was thinking is selection randomly as well as not randomly...I was thinking why don't they select 4 people randomly and them they are carefully studied/compared...But it should only be 4 no more than 4...Because once you start looking at 10 or 20 is not funny...
and again, THEY STILL KEEP THE BILLIONAIRE...lol....

on that one i was talking about the debt...About the millions given i don't think it will work unless you either get a large sample randomly and them compare them or you go by the different minorities, that are there and i am not talking only about human features....Anyways for this kind of stuff i should get paid 400 million dollars but i am not...

sincerely,

movie pi....That guy spent long years trying to figure out some ratio number, yet that ratio was not important as this ratio that i am talking about is...

or you could classified the existing minorities, talking about important minorities, then get a ratio and give some points to each ratio and points to the majority and chose according to those points...
for example let's say that there are 32 minorities classification or 50 or whatever, you then make each 1 of those 32 minorities classifications win once and then it it comes to the majority it wins 2 or 3, and then go back to the begining...But remember scientist have bigger stake more son than the majoirty, the points of the scientist is bigger and it should be bigger...scientist, astronomers, people in Nasa, people in the CDC, they have a bigger stake, more so than the majority...
You would have to research this further...Again i should get paid 400 million dollars for this...

also people that work in technology or are inventors have a bigger stake...This are all stuff you should be aware of....

Comment by pumpi76 - March 15, 2009, 3:32 am
also people that work in the medical field....
13.
Comment by pumpi76 - March 15, 2009, 3:34 am
police officers, mathematicians...they all have a bigger stake...
14.
Comment by pumpi76 - March 15, 2009, 3:35 am
they points combined should be 2 or 3 just like the majority...
15.
Comment by pumpi76 - March 15, 2009, 3:48 am
i have to admite that minority classification is not going to come out to 50 but like 200...
And suppose they did this Globally, are they going to do it randomly too? They can not...Globally they will have to look at more factors....
This just proves that for this kind of scenario the lottery is usuless...
they will also have to look at the fact that there are more yellowish skin people than brown skin people, all those factors...and diversity of women too..
just to prove that minority is important...
is a complex equation....

plus they should have in mind the fact that we are alone in the universe out of vast number of stars and galaxies...
but will like to say that specially scientist and people working for nasa and inventors have an even bigger stake, bigger than the majority...

If this is created it will be the only thing in the USA that gives women millions...There is nothing in the USA that does...
There can always be 2 of them, 1 to pay the debt the other one to give millions and they keep the billionaires...
about the billionaire, well i have to admit those billionaires are more for countries that need billionaires...The USA does not need them...
Other countries do...So instead of 3,200 1 million dollar winners there will be 4,200...

about it been the only thing that gives millions to many women...This is why i suggest the idea of free lottos that also give 1 million but to women only....
