Many presidents prior to Pres Obama has used teleprompters.
But when the speech is over and they were asked questions they knew how to think and talk on their feet.

While he told America it is frivilous for USAmerican business to go to Vegas to conventions and business, resulting in 1000's of lost jobs out there. @truecritic: That's right, Bush hardly needed a teleprompter, except for big speeches. A great example happened this week: when the Supreme Court nominee was introduced by Obama, what were we treated to? Another teleprompter speech. EVEN THE NOMINEE DIDN'T REQUIRE IT.

Contrast that to Bush, whose nominees did not require a teleprompter speech or the kind of huge bash that the Annointed One required for his nominee. Bush simply spoke to the media, and I believe may have had some written notes in case he needed them.

Obama reads what the teleprompter tells him to very well.

When I saw that Biden remark I LOL'ed! It doesn't sound to me like Biden and Obama are getting along too well. Remember when Biden said about Obama that he was "the first clean, well-spoken African American" in the Senate? The stupid media does not think such things are important, but yes, they are. The hypocracy of the left is staggering.

When GW got up to NY after the 9-11 attacks and stood up there teleprompter free, and said "The people that did this are gonna hear from us........................." was priceless and powerful.   The SOBs that ordered it knew they were either soon dead or never going to see light again. USA! USA! USA!

And I tell you another slip up yesterday by PUPPETOTUSPOS in Nev. was his comment near the end on Sotomayor," When she gets in we are going to get justice!" PUPPETOTUSPOS said, justice for what?   You slipped again PUPPETOTUSPOS.

In Maloney v. Cuomo, Sotomayor signed an opinion of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit that said the Second Amendment does not protect individuals from having their right to keep and bear arms restricted by state governments.

The opinion said that the Second Amendment only restricted the federal government from infringing on an individual's right to keep and bear arms. As justification for this position, the opinion cited the 1886 Supreme Court case of Presser v. Illinois.

“It is settled law, however, that the Second Amendment applies only to limitations the federal government seeks to impose on this right,” said the opinion. Quoting Presser, the court said, “it is a limitation only upon the power of Congress and the national government, and not upon that of the state.”

I never heard any President screw up so many words as I have Bush.   He may not have used a telepromter often but he certainly needed it everytime.

The main point isn't left/right Republican/Democrat. It is that anyone would pick on something that Democrats do AND REPUBLICANS DO THE SAME OR WORSE! That is why I stopped listening to Rush Limbaugh.

He would say something like "Did you see Obama has a blue suit on today!" Hah-Hah-Hah.
As if that is an issue. As if Republicans don't wear blue suits.

I like Biden fairly well. I like Bush fairly well. I wanted John McCain, not Obama.   If Bush hadn't started a war that should never have happened, he was an OK President. He never got Bin Laden - I only hold that against him because the troops in Iraq could have been concentrated in Afghanistan. But no more so than any President promising something. So it isn't an issue about me being far left . If you guys hate Biden, Obama, or the entire Democratic Party then just say so and stop acting like it is some kind of issue. Even many of the issues you guys posts about the left are the same or similar types of issues that would be done by the right.   It makes no sense to make fun of the left the way you do - when the right can be just as vulnerable. That is no different than just being a bully.   I would guess that you would condone bullies in schools?   It is cetainly OK to say someone made a wrong decision but it appears you get a certain pleasure out of bullying.

And the bottom line is, no matter how much of this stuff is posted or spouted by Rush, it doesn't change anything. Biden may well ALWAYS need a teleprompter, not matter how much you "LOL"

Do actually think what NKorea is doing is because it makes them feel good? They are doing it because they know they can get away with it.   They just said the armistice is off and they are probing (testing) the world and since the democratic peoples of the world have been pussified and put to sleep and have no strong leader (it used to be the US) they laugh, sell a nuke, blow something up and bring everyone down a notch.   Which is exactly what PUPPETOTUSPOS wants to do to the people of this country bring everybody down a notch or two.

The constitution doesn't guarantee free housing, cars, healthcare, pensions, education, milk, beer, telephones, roads, etc. It sets the playing field, the rules don't change when you "feel" like it, the game is not to be rigged. If this admin. had its way it would be shredded.

America does not need anymore remaking. The Constitution does not need changing.

Take a stand and don't worry what others think, have conviction you'll feel better. USA! USA! USA! USA!

Thanks Konane!   Sotomayor is Puerto Rican, not a child of immigrant parents. I am first generation born here of immigrant parents in the greatest country on Earth, USAmerica!   My parents came here from post WW2 Europe, with nothing, not even a word of English.....................They worked and played by the rules, never off the govt., but for the country and its endless opportunities. They never even considered going back.

Yes truecritic I wrote in response to what you wrote to Todd. Its seemed a pretty general statement, and I read everything that is posted on my blog.

Bush had delivery problems with his langauge skills but Obama is much worse with the pseudo-intellectual-looking for the right thing uuh um uh um uh um um uh to say and put foot in mouth or get caught in lie when not using the teleprompter. But what Bush said was consistent and you could count on him to do what he said.

Bush was beat down for 8 years and only someone with super human endurance could have put up with it.   Water off a ducks back, but the duck eventually gets tired. At every chance they blocked, questioned, called names etc. He was tough. He didn't care.   Obama wants everybody to love him, unfortunately, Kim Jong Il is playing hard to get, Mahmoud doesn't like men, especially ones taller than he, the Europeans have too many mistresses................just kidding.

Obamas job is to look after our best interests as a "country" in the world's business, not to be liked like a person and hope that they will change and love us, the world is cruel and the other countries are playing to win, not be loved. Remember everybody likes too see the team that is on top get brung down, kinda like when Dallas was Superbowling a lot, but unfortunately there is no draft rounds in world politics. I am a Redskin fan, hence my example.
