"DeMint: America is ‘Where Germany Was Before World War II'

by David Weigel" 7/9/09 9:42 AM

"Last night, Sen. Jim DeMint (R-S.C.) gave a short talk and Q&A at at the National Press Club about his book “Saving Freedom.” DeMint told a room of around 100 people about a conversation he’d had with an Iranian immigrant who was panicking about the surge of government spending and control under President Obama and the Democrats. Americans should listen to immigrants like her, said DeMint.

They understand socialism. They understand tyrants. But none of us have ever had it here. We don’t even know what it looks like. Part of what we’re trying to do in “Saving Freedom” is just show that where we are, we’re about where Germany was before World War II where they became a social democracy. You still had votes but the votes were just power grabs like you see in Iran, and other places in South America, like Chavez is running down in Venezuela. People become more dependent on the government so that they’re easy to manipulate. And they keep voting for more government because that’s where their security is. When our immigrants get here, they’re worried, because they see it happening here.

DeMint worried that it was the “eleventh hour” for freedom, but he disputed a question from a man who wondered if America was ripe for another revolution. “The reason I’m convinced we can do this in a civilized way is that I’ve seen, on a number of issues, that when people get informed and want to change their government, the government will change.”

He does not want to be responsible for starting a revolution. They better get off their butt and do something civilized pretty quick. Tempers are starting to get short.

Thanks JAP!!! I've seen more and more people on LP speaking up about things and we know this isn't a political site.

Email your Representatives and Senators people, they can't read your minds!!!!!! Most of them WILL do the right thing if they have constituent contacts to back them up.

Sad but true. The Nazis didn't go away in 1945. Most of them continued their agenda under different guises and funding. For example, they planned the European Union and it became a reality. That was the first step to the world government they want to create. Breaking up America was always going to be the last step because it would be more difficult. But they are doing it now and applying the vise grips.

There is a very strong Nazism vibe coming from the globalists who take turns pulling strings at the puppet show we call government. I believe the final result will be a Nazi style (eugenics and all) world government if we allow it to happen.

Thanks Rick!! What better to go underground to hatch more stuff than a faction we were told was 'soundly defeated' after WWII??

If enough people email or call their offices, watch closely how they vote and vote them out next term if they vote otherwise, we'll get someone responsive to our will.

Have found it helpful to first review the issues then write them with succinct and specific key points easy and quick to read.

Begins with informing ones self via sites which are NOT elitist controlled big media which regurgitates spun fluff.
