When trying to pass a health reform bill to provide those of us with long term or pre-existing illnesses with affordable coverage becomes a loss of freedom, then I'll march with you. Until that time, the revolution should be against companies that make huge profits while families can't protect their loved ones. Shame on anyone who is falling for the propaganda about death panels, covering illegals and paying for abortions. The only reason there hasn't been reform sooner is that Congress is owned by the lobbyists.

Why would I even support a Public Option (note the word "option") since I survive by selling health insurance? It's because I've had to tell people who want to pay "you've been declined" and then offer them a crappy policy that will force them to claim bankruptcy should they be stricken with cancer or another life threatening illness. If simple insurance rules would change this, then why hasn't it been done and why have premiums increased each year while benefits get worse? I already know what your answer is, so why should I bother?

Ronald Reagan said Medicare would destroy this country. He fought against our social security program. Do you support these government run programs? Do you know how many billions the Medicare Advantage and Medicare Drug programs approved in 2003 have cost taxpayers? Where was the outrage then? When all the people collecting Social Security and Medicare which is paid for by my taxes give it up, I might be more willing to talk.

Fact: The United States is the only industrialized nation that does not guarantee access to health care as a right of citizenship. Fact: The United States spends at least 40% more per capita on health care than any country with universal health care. Fact: Approx 65% of all bankruptcies filed at due to medical bills and 75% of people who file HAD insurance when they got sick. Our country ranks at the very bottom in infant mortality and life expectancy. It is mind boggling that people are talking about "bloody revolutions" and comparing a democratically elected president to a mad dictator who ordered the genocide of millions when he is trying to pass a bill that he campaigned on. The truth is that you're still angry that Obama won the election and every single thing he does will always be criticized. Sen DeMint spoke volumes when he stated "If we’re able to stop Obama on this it will be his Waterloo. It will break him."   

One thing we do agree on is that we need to be strong and not rest.
