what will take its place? Go back to the gold standard? Silver standard?

Thanks Truecritic!!! Probably gold and silver both because money was sound under the gold standard. I read but have not checked it out that our foreign debt is backed by gold but money the Fed has printed since approximately this time last year is backed by nothing.

Understand Pres. Kennedy wanted the US to take control of its currency and look where it got him. If we had the internet during that era history might reflect something different due to demanding a full investigation as to who and why.

Carbon credit standard, of course! You'll have to pay with carbon credits to burn your money to warm the globe when dollars are worthless, the irony.
