You're not involved in the protests... You are on the side, watching....

You aren't the enemy, right?... Right?

Must not have been any provocateurs available that night...streets were empty except for a few photogs and spectators running away from the Darth Vaders.

Regardless when the riot squad formed the line and gave orders for everyone to clear the streets people should have vacated the area. The cops have no idea if any of those kids had weapons. In a foreign country it would have been a hand grenade not a tear gas canister.

Although I wrote last night that I did not like the sub-lethal methods used by the police, I agree with four4me.

I also did some research and many of these videos are cut. We live in a YouTube world where people can show whatever portion of a film they wish to in order to fit their agenda. Many protesters were allowed to march. Most had permits. There were several incidents just before this video that show the same "protesters" damaging property.

Civil liberties groups: Police overreacted at G-20
Source MyWay.com

"...... They decried what they called a heavy-handed and unwarranted police response, saying riot officers focused on largely peaceful, if unsanctioned, demonstrations when they should have been paying more attention to small groups of vandals that smashed windows of city businesses. ......"

"...... Around the same time, a few blocks away, windows were smashed at some 10 businesses. Police made 42 arrests near the university, but it wasn't clear if they caught any of the vandals. ....."
