I have been following your blog on and off for awhile.
Just what stategy do you propose for your "numbers" to show a profit?

I see no way to make a profit using your numbers?

Firstly, these are posted as a guide related to horses bearing the particular numbers of the day. In general at tracks the overall percentage of the "chalks" is around 30% and the remainder are the horses that will pay a premium. Most people hope to catch the premium but often fail winding up with losing tickets. These point out which horses to watch for on the specified day and they will frequently be at a premium price and will often defy the boards and the pari mutual pool.
Secondly, What does one usually do to show a profit? Most will use a progressive wagering method. Also, anything that one does related to any form of speculation requires "focus" and if one engages in track jumping there is no focus it's comparative to having no television guide instead deciding to surf channels on the T V hoping to stumble onto something good. One should also apply some basic handicapping but often the numbers posted will defy the field and the chart data.
Thirdly, if you would look at the percentage rates of the numbers of the day at individual tracks you will find them ranging from 49-70% in the money...Note this is not related to the overall % for all tracks which also has a high rate. Therefore I'm not blowing smoke.
Fourth, I tell no one how to wager as people have their own agendas but one would be unwise to ignore the basic info given to them and should incorporate it into however way they wager. I tell what and not who to watch as well as where to look for them. One never places a track wager by a name or post position but by the number running in the race.   Some of these will also be chalk horses or they will pair up as a longshot with the chalk
Fifth, this is just a micro of what information is actually offered...I'm just not posting everything on this site.
Sixth, it makes more sense to only concentrate on 4 runners rather than 9-12...half of the field has been cut down already and the potentials are already in view.
Seventh,   if you find no value in it just ignore it.

You should post your "numbers" for a particular track. No redboarding.

I have no problem picking 4 horses before the race with the winner included 80% of the time, or higher, at a given track. As good as that might sound to you, there is no way to make that profitable.

You may not tell anyone how to wager but you are implying that there is a huge profit to be made by "showing" how good your numbers did for each day.

If this is just micro information, what is it that you actually offer? Where are you posting everything?

I have no idea what "redboarding is...does it have kinship to waterboarding?! As stated before if one finds no value in what I post....ignore it!
I only state the numerical information prior to the races and show the end result at the end of each race day. If the numbers do not perform in a given day there wouldn't be anything to post. I do not post full results as there are other sites for one to review race results at their own leisure. The numbers of the day also appear as chalks but I don't post them as they are fewer but any one can exam the records at the tracks not mentioned...the posted numbers frequently cross the line at a premium and I just show that they do.
Evidently you have missed some of what has been written...I have posted some means of guidance in threads related to methods and places.   Some "punters" go to the races and only wager $2.00 on a race and others wager larger amounts, some only play the win spot and others play the gimmicks...it still remains up to the individual as to what it is they are looking for and what they are willing to risk at any given time. It is simply the art of speculation...if one never goes out on a limb they will not reach the fruit.
Currently I am rebuilding my website and what I offer is esoteric information related to an age old sport. It sounds like you are searching for a traditional handicapping site my friend and there are plenty!

redboardv. to speculate on the outcome of a horse race that has already finished.

You should post your numbers. Pick a track of your choice. Pick a wagering plan of your choice. State the conditions of your bet. i.e. This xxx number to win in this race. This xxx number to place. These xxx numbers for a tri/super. ALL before the races run.

You don't have to tell others how to wager - just use whatever it is that you use. Then post the results for that track and races.

Thanks for your suggestions but I'll continue to do what I do. Like I said before "if one finds no value in it just ignore it."

I think that you are doing a great job, keep up the good work, I am waiting for you to come back and post some more numbers for the Horses. No doubt about it, you pick them pretty good from what I can see. I usually go on the weekend. Sat. or Sun. I really like Santa Anita but they will be closing so. It is easy to pick the Trifecta, and for a dollar Ex. $1 Tri. I like to play those at Santa Anita. Maybe you can pick some races for santa Anita. Thanks in advance!
