"Amazing Pictures, Pollution in China

Saw a few of these photos on a Chinese pop site, enough to make you cry.

Two things strike me as very important  (1)  As Obama tries to shove climate change .. carbon footprint down our throats for the purpose of further draining our personal financial resources, the world might focus its attention to the amount of toxic pollution being churned out by Chinese factories.  This will continue until their government is forced to clean it up.  Focus on the problem there, not here because over the past 40 years we've cleaned up most of ours.

(2)  Which comes to the next point they can't afford to clean upor install technology so long as our Fed in collusion with congress continues hair on fire deficit spending and BORRWING FROM CHINA WITHOUT PAYING THEM BACK.  They try to shove the blame off on consumers however I feel responsibility lies on the shoulders of the mass of corruption in Washington spending like drunk sailors on a three day pass.

I am very grateful to China for loaning the US money but we need to repay the debt so they can work on environmental cleanup of their own nation.

Caveat, if you have a weak stomach don't click the link.
If you ever thought our pollution is bad do yes click the link.

The way China is industrializing and the pollutants coming from lack of waste treatment they will not have to worry about over population. They will be killed off by their own industries and waste.
Looks like they do not want to put funds into waste treatment. Would rather spend the money on further expansion.
I lived in the Hudson valley region above Albany most of my life. Some years back they found that GE was polluting the hudson river with mercury from their capacitor manufacturing in Glens Falls. They clamped down On GE and shut down the river to fishing. They were suppose to be cleaning up the river but I do not know if they have or not. The mercury is located in the river bottom sediment.

Thanks JAP! We've come a very long way since the 50's when hazardous waste barrels started floating up form swamp burial sites. Lots has been done since that time.

You're probably right they'll be killing off their population with industrial pollution, but with adequate funds in place to make changes then pressure can be brought to bear.
