The Term "African American" and other designated terms: My problem with it
Published:
Updated:
They call just anybody who is black they call them: "African American" and they use this term left and right as if they were talking about a value meal at McDonalds...
That term totally makes me mad..Dude Hasta el sol de hoy, i've never heard a white person living in the USA refers to himself as: "European American"....I am just been technical...If they did they will be referring to people that "Just landed" In the USA from Europe, first generation or whatever generation you call them who you can "STILL HEAR THE ACCENT"...I know you are saying what if the world spoke 1 language, you are right but until that time please reffer to people for who/what they are and stop acting as if "EVERYBODY" who has a pink color is the same...
You know who should be called: African Americans? Africans who just landed in America and who you can still hear their accent...
Tell me oh he is from African descend but dont be calling me or black people that were born in the USA no African American...
this reminded me of the NBA/Dream Team who about 1 decade or 2 ago used to call themselves the best team in the world, called themselves the "Dream Team, yet they NEVER PLAYED ANY TEAM IN THE WORLD...
If a white American goes to Europe and settle there, he is called what? American, but after he settles there and have kids there and his kids grow up what are his kids called? European...Again just been technical...I am sure his kids are not called no: American Europeans..
You know an Asian person who is born in the USA has lived all his/her life in the USA has probably NEVER visited Asia is called an Asian American like i CAN'T SEE that that person is asian as if i was blind and couldn't see..
Not only that: "May God not so wish and in Asia Hittler Rises again and begins to create a "Great masacre left and right" and carnage and destruction and Asia wants to take over the world...To that "Asian American" who was born in the USA gets appedriado because he carries his region designated name the person has probably never visited Asia...Gets apedriado/stoned thrown thrash at, get his/her house burned because he still carries his ancestors or grandparents designated name...Yet "WHAT HAPPENS IN ASIA SHOULD STAY IN ASIA"....
Now not everything that happens in Asia should stay in Asia it concerns us all...I just think they should change some of the labels they put on people and use the "CORRECT LABEL/TERM"....
What they should do is use countries because you can't tell which country a person is from but you sure can tell which continent/region that person is from...
A black person who was born in the USA and has lived there all his life: Should be called: Black American not no African American...
Not only that dude: if you came from Latin America and you said that you was a "Black Latino" YOU SHOULD SEE THEY WANT TO WAGE WAR ON YOU LIKE SOMEHOW YOU WAS A CAMELEON WHO COULD CHANGE COLORS...Again can't see beyond that...
Yeah is true we are all after the greens, the hot stud women and the BMW but again we are not cattle...
I also know that a: Peace Soldier, Police Officer, President, Scientist, inventor, deep christian, very religious person, economist, etc, transcend any race or designated terms...
I am just been technical...
This reminds me that black people are called: Black "YET" if you look at them no black person is black, they are brown color or dark brown color...
again just been technical...
