I've said exactly this before, it's a phenominum that recycles itself. It's just like your body where as it also changes to balance itself out.
I wish there was some footage of " AL " back then, he was probably one of those who screamed The " Ice age is coming, the Ice age is coming ". Along with the other phony's across the pond who gave him "The prize" want to just stick their heads up the BOZO canal as far as it will go, in light of all that has come out against "global warming".
OMG, that prize along with the monetary value could've gotten a lot of disavantaged people lots of meals and clothing instead of padding that morons bank account....!

Tsk, tsk. You are not, I repeat, you are *not* supposed to go searching back that far to trip up todays schemers.
Don't you remember that line from "The Lion King" - 'It doesn't matter. It's in the past'? ;-)

I wonder if Jacques Cousteau was carrying the torch for global warming instead of Al Gore if people would have a clue.

An ice age doesn't happen over night it happens over time might take a hundred to a thousand years. So since none of us will be around then.... it doesn't matter.

Thanks Maddog! Absolutely correct, the earth was cycling before we appeared upon it and will continue long after we're gone, provided our sun doesn't die.

Agree could be put to much better use helping people.

Thanks Time*treat! Searching back that far uncovers a real "Inconvenient Truth" they assumed we weren't smart enough to remember.

Thanks Four4me! Cousteau lived during the time the issue was being discussed therefore feel if he believed it had validity he would have made it an issue because he certainly had the world stage to do so.

With regards to an ice age understand global warming such as we've had in recent years is a precursor for such an event. Looks as if we're slowly heading into a mini ice age in the next several years.

As an observer since i turned 18 back it 69 and having traveled to many states in the USA during that time i have noticed the pollution has increased exponentially. Everything from exhaust fumes to solid waste coal being burnt for fuel for electricity etc. All this on a scale never before in our 200 plus years as a nation or our whole as a world populace. One can only assume there is something happening that just doesn't fit. Is mother nature retaliating against us or is this just another cycle in time.

The amount of exhaust fumes being spewed out is at an alarming rate in combination with all the other pollutants mother nature is weeping a bit now but can unleash a fury of destruction to halt any attempts of messing up her world.

With the technology we have today there must be a way to curtail our use of the things that supposedly are causing this problem sweeping the issue under the carpet or dismissing something scientist claim is real isn't the answer and there is no actual way to prove or disprove their theory since nothing like this has happened in our lifetimes.

I guess it will take a visit from some friendly little green men from somewhere in the universe to explain to us that we are destroying the planet. But the sad part is we would try to blow them out of the sky before they landed. I hope if they do come one day they have some kind of shields to protect them from us. Now if only we could protect us from ourselves that would be an accomplishment.

I've been all over the world, the USAmerica is the cleanest on the planet.   China, India, Africa, well.............not so nice.

The Earth owns us, global warming is a hoax.   Since last Wednesday over 1246 cold weather records have been shatterd here in the US alone!, Fla. might have a huge crop loss, England is under snow for over three weeks, there is a blizzard over the midwest, we just got 2 feet of snow more on the way, global warming is hoax designed to make us poor andf AL Gore Vidal and his cronies rich.

Do volcanoes pollute? Think about it, 1 eruption like the one in the Philipines 3 weeks ago, is going to cause global cooling MEASURABLY, and it has emitted more greenhouse ga$$e$ THAN ALL OF HUMANITY HAS FOR THE PAST 20 YEARS IN 3 WEEKS!

Thanks Jarasan! Just read something on another site that carbon tax via global warming hoax has been engineered to support one world government since waging war and profiteering from war would be a thing of the past. Makes sense .... follow the money trail as usual. All governmental bureaucratic creation are engineered as cash cows for elitists and benefit no one but them.

Thanks Four4me! Sorry I didn't see your post before replying to Jarasan.

How much of the pollution we're experiencing is from industry in China and India?

I'd personally welcome intelligent aliens ... pass on the bug eyed grays .... to assist us with more technology. We however have to elect a government not in the pocket of special interests in order to implement that technology. If we had a government that gave more than lip service to the real problems, and would do more than legislate away our freedoms and tax us into oblivion then we have a real beginning.

Those aliens probably have a cookbook called "To serve man" yummy.

Pollution is everywhere and we gave the technology to most of the countries that spew it out at an alarming rate. I've been a machinist and an automotive mechanic most of my life i have breathed my fair share of exhaust fumes. I would rather not have my offspring children and their offspring breath the noxious fumes.... water vapor would be a giant step to reducing the emissions.

Here's somthing i picked up a while back.

The earth is getting hotter that is a fact . However the dispute is are we causing it or is it a natural occurance . Some scientist's believe this is the start of another ice age . That history shows the earth heats before it cools . What some think happens is the global warming heats the earthy , melts polar ice caps . The ocean's begin to cool because the oceans currents can't circulate properly and the waters and earth begin to cool , thus starting another ice age . Ocean current's are like the veins in the body , if they can't circulate blood the body begins to cool . That's why people who smoke are always cold . It effects their circulation . But to say global warming is a hoax is wrong . What's causing it may be a hoax . However global warming I assure you is quite real .

Thanks Four4me! Data was published somehwere around a year ago that the sun has been burning warmer in recent years heating the entire solar system. Past 3-5 years or so the sun has been very quiet as far as its predictable 11 year solar flare cycle. If you recall during peak sunspot years the summers were a bit hotter than in years solar flares were quiet.

One unusual thing in this area in the past 3 or so years is winds, not sporadic gusts but we're having far more sustained winds than have been normal in many years. Our below freezing temps are increasing in longevity during winter months which is similar to temps in the early 60's.

Data taken in heated urban areas which has been used to put forward the global warming argument is indeed real.
