Been watching that one since this morning. East is getting hammered. Take care, keep warm as you can.

Jarasan....don't you realize that it's the excessive heat that's driving this weather pattern to act weird, thus the cause for a cold spell? Forget "Climate change". The new term will be Global Bull-schmit.

I just wonder how they'll react when it snows in death valley.....hee hee....

Takoma Park MD. Nuclear free Zone.....................time to reconsider....................4 days no power..... people of Takoma Park are y'all sure that electricity is bad? The irony in these situations is that the local township policies of preserving as much of the tree cover as possible and not letting PEPCO come thru on a regular basis and remove old dead dying tree limbs comes right back and bites you with a cold house with no power for four days or more.   After events like this and what is coming you would think that people would eventually learn how electricity gets to your home.

The reason I bring up Takoma Park is that they declared themselves nuke free...............if that was the case then why don't they just put a dome over their town and block out the Sun? After all the Sun is the ultimate fusion reactor.

I always thought power gets to my house by a bunch of coffee drinkers from Star bucks.

Thanks joker and Tiger! We lost power for a couple of days not as bad as an ice storm 'bout 6years ago though! 10 days for that fiasco.

Yeah I am near D.C. about 6 miles Western Ave. the NW border that separates MD. from D.C. I grew up in D.C. and my mom/sis are still down there.   I personally love the snow and winter in general and it is very interesting and quite entertaining to watch the mass hysteria that takes place when the weather gets serious in these here parts. Today I am going to one job and be done with it because we got another storm on the way.

We got spared, the little snow that we got from the new storm, melted within a day. North of us, they got about 4 inches. It looks like it's really built up some steam now, though. I hope you guys fair ok, KEEP WARM!!
