sometimes the truth hurts and in this case i think she spoke the truth

My opinion of what she MEANT (TRYING TO RELAY TO EVERYONE):
so many of these people didn't have a place to lay their heads down, lived on the streets, didn't have a home, or air condition, or steady meals.... that this [place] is nicer than their every-day living arraingments.
Geesh! how hard is that to interpret?????
