Distractions like major events, holidays, and the sorts, designed to deviate attention from serious issues. Mass hypnosis.

@joker17...You're exactly right about the hypnosis. I believe televisions (and computer monitors) literally hypnotize us. If I understand it correctly, the image is pulsed at 1.5 to 15 Hz. If true, brain waves in this range (1.5 - 15 Hz) is the state of mind of meditation, hypnosis, suggestibility, deep relaxation and sleep. So perhaps the machine is physically hypnotizing us and the programming is providing the hypnotic suggestions. For example, a 6.3 Hz brainwave is a desired hypnosis state. Pulsing the screen at 6.3 Hz entrains the viewer's brain to that brain wave and bingo, viewer is open to all suggestions.

Good find Rick and thanx for posting it. Wasn't there molton steel in the basement for a long time after that could only be caused by mini nukes? Seems like I remember something about that.
