Obama Cigarette Portrait To Be Replaced With Official Portrait At Nebraska's Adams County Courthouse

HASTINGS, Neb. -- The Adams County Courthouse meeting room will soon be getting an official portrait of President Barack Obama nearly 18 months after Obama was elected.

The portrait will hang in a spot that had held a framed black-and-white image depicting the President with a cigarette hanging from his mouth. That photo -- a notorious fake -- drew a complaint from a county official who found it disrespectful.

County Supervisor Eldon Orthmann, a Republican, told the Hastings Tribune that he had the smoking photo matted and framed at his own expense. Orthmann said he had hung it next to an official photo of Gov. Dave Heineman as a joke.

County Supervisor Lee Saathoff, the board's lone Democrat, said Monday that U.S. Sen. Ben Nelson's office is sending the county an official presidential portrait.

well if he comes to mi may1st and smokes within 50 feet of a business he'll be severly fined if he's caught. smokers are criminals ..what next ?...people who wear perfume ! maybe we should slap some fines on people who don't bathe , lets slap fines on people who's kids cry in public places, the crunchy law ..if you chew crunchy food at a movie and it disturbs you neighbor ..big fine. no smoking in public buildings is fine with me , but they took the rights from private business and now want to criminalize anyone who dares to walk up to a store with a cigarette. thats wrong. except casinos . their millions in tax revenue bought them the right to be legal lawbreakers.

The cigarette Looks appropriate for him in the photo.
Reminds me of the gangster thugs in the movies.

It should be a joint in his mouth. He looks high.

And why is he allowed to smoke in the White House? You know he is, otherwise there'd be pictures of him going outside to smoke.
