Thnx Rick, I needed to here what you said. Of course the Russians are going to call it a hoax. I guess the one thing that bothers me is how could they know where the plane would crash, i.e., be on the scene so fast? Unless they had several teams posted about in the ready?

It crashed just short of the runway. Initial reports said the bulbs in the runway lights were serviced the next day. (I saw photos of this - but photos can be 'file photos'). The runway light lamps could have been unscrewed and a false set of runway lights put in place. The "greeters" would only have to be near the beginning of the false runway lights.

I'll try to find the story on the runway lamp servicing.
