My Facebook page was hacked

Published:

Even co-workers told me today that they've been getting messages from folks they don't even know. They may be trying to get your password.

Last night it happened to me. I received an email telling me a Facebook friend was sending a message to me. I clicked on the link and there it was. My friend's picture and the message about an online money making opportunity, was right there in front of me.

Change your password. The co-worker I spoke of earlier said he used the same password in Facebook, everywhere else. Including his financial bank passwords.....WHAT?

Just trying to get the word out to those who may apply.

Be safe LP....

I forgot to add that once I called that person and verified that it was really my friend on Facebook telling me about the online opportunity, she denied any involvement. She was the one to suggest a hacking....She never sent me any message regarding an online money maker.

Firefox has an add-on, Secure Password Generator which works well. RoboForm has paid software which allows you to store passwords to a thumb drive ... not on the computer itself ... so they can't be stolen. May or may not work for you but wanted to let you know about them.

Thanx Konane, I have nothing they can steal....lol

It's just more of an annoyance than anything else.
