"Black tea partiers rebut NAACP

"Some African-American tea party candidates are displeased by a resolution that the NAACP approved on Tuesday calling the grass-roots conservative movement “racist.”

“I have not experienced the charges of racism that the NAACP is touting,” Vernon Parker, an African-American tea party congressional candidate in Arizona, told POLITICO.

Parker, former mayor of Paradise Valley, said that he has never felt out of place at a tea party rally because of the color of his skin.

“When I go to tea party events, people don’t look at me any differently,” he said. “They didn’t judge me on the color of my skin, quite frankly, they judged me on my principles."

"The NAACP should be concerned about bringing jobs to people in depressed areas,” he added, “not the tea party.”

Tim Scott, a GOP congressional nominee in South Carolina, echoed Parker’s sentiments in a statement.

“I believe that the NAACP is making a grave mistake in stereotyping a diverse group of Americans who care deeply about their country and who contribute their time, energy and resources to make a difference,” Scott said.

“As I campaign in South Carolina, I participate in numerous events sponsored by the tea party, 9/12, Patriot, and other like-minded groups, and I have had the opportunity to get to know many of the men and women who make up these energetic grass-roots organizations,” Scott added.

“Americans need to know that the tea party is a color-blind movement that has principled differences with many of the leaders in Washington, both Democrats and Republicans.”

The resolution the NAACP approved at its annual conference in Kansas City alleges that tea party groups have used racist epithets in attacks on President Barack Obama and have verbally and physically abused African-American members of Congress."

MSNBC Has been showing footage of angry Obama people but, it was not a Tea party rally.
If anyone has been physicall abused wheres the police report?
I'm sure there are misguided people using the Tea party name for hate reasons or even maybe they are planted there. double agenda.
In mich we have roughly 64 Tea party groups , roughly 3 white supremist groups , 20 motorcycle clubs
10-15 militia groups and 12-15 gangs of various ethnic backgrounds. we're not doing alot of mixing and mingling.
The NAACP is playing its own game called lets control the press by not letting reporters ask the question HOW ABOUT THE BLACK PANTHER VOTING SCANDAL, IT ISN'T EVEN COMING UP?

Thanks Sully! I went to Politico for a different article and found this one. Thought a different perspective should be presented. The MSM should feature this but my bet is they won't.

We know the enemy and it's not our black/white/brown neighbor. They have over-used the racism card and it has lost its intended effect. Americans of every flavor are unhappy with the gov't they hired. (Example: 95.9% of Americans polled support the AZ illegal immigration law. No racial division there.)

Thanks Rick! Couldn't agree with you more. Everyone is concerned about the burden to their children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and all descendants forward.

I hate fascists, communists, anti-constitutionalists, race baiters, and most of all fascists in socialist clothing.   I love freedom, liberty, and justice for all.

Thanks Jarasan! Yep don't care for them either.

And yes I too love freedom, liberty and justice for every one of us .... and would love for all people in the world who love the same things to be able to live a good life enjoying those same things wherever they live.

The NAACP has become obsolete, irrelevant and useless. They should die a natural death the same as their counterpart, the KKK. They should rightfully just fade away.

Unfortunately there are too many Fat Cats in the NAACP collecting big salaries and they don't want to lose this gravy train they've been on for years and years.

Now, with a black man in the White House it's kind of hard to keep harping on the old worn out discrimination routine so they have to invent some kind of racism to point their money-grubbing fingers at. They desperately need a boogie man.

They've chosen the Tea Party Movement as this boogie man. They have told a pack of lies about them and they hope their supporters believe them so they can keep the money coming in.

It's as simple as that.

Thanks Rdgrnr! That $100k offer for a tape is still out there to be claimed, which sure speaks volumes about the 'proof' they have.

For anyone wondering what I'm talking about check this out:

"Already Been Cleavered

".......There is one problem with the story: It didn't happen. We believe that we demonstrated beyond a reasonable doubt over the course of our **** 18-part **** "Don't leave it to Cleaver" series that it didn't happen. The congressmen's story was a fabrication intended to defame the Tea Party movement and distract attention from the resistance to Obamacare.
