I thought I was reading somewhere this week that all property in the United States belongs to the gov't. Possibly excepting tribal lands that fall under treaties.
My thought is when we purchase property we only purchase the right to live on it or use it. Fall in the arrears on your federal taxes to the extent where they will seize your property as having first lien or right to it. Same goes for local taxes.

I think you're right about the collateral for debt. We won't be able to pay off the debt they have incurred so we will lose the collateral to China. Maybe that's why they are antagonizing China, hoping to nullify the debt through war.

State sovereignty (10th amendment) could put a stop to this if all the states united and seceded from the monstrous octopus. Local/state elections are more important than ever. AZ should be a wake-up call for the other 49.
