ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. -- A Pittsburgh police officer told investigators he shoplifted from Universal Studios because he did not feel like waiting in line.

Officer Hank Rogowski, 49, was arrested on Sunday at Universal Studios after he was caught shoplifting. Police say Rogowski told them he intended to pay for the items, but the cash "registers were busy and he did not feel like waiting."

Investigators said the 17-year veteran of the Pittsburgh police force shoplifted at several stores inside the theme park. He is also charged with carrying his firearm on park property.
Pittsburgh police Chief Nate Harper says Officer Rogowski will likely be moved to desk duty during an internal investigation of charges that he shoplifted more than $300 worth of Harry Potter merchandise from the Florida theme park.
