Get rid of all pensions that require the tax payer to foot the bill.
Save your money like I do! a little each week.

Thanks Sully! Even requiring them to contribute to it would be a big step forward. We've taken a big hit, let them feel some of the real world pain too.

I cringe every time I read that Social Security is an entitlement program. I am paying into Social Security. My employer is paying into Social Security. How is that program an "entitlement" when two separate entities are paying for it?

Other than that, I agree that the Federal government needs to downsize in more ways than one. We have bureaucracies wasting time and money. We have too many employees doing the work which one person can do. We are passing out money faster than the presses can print it. Some programs are outdated yet are still functioning.

I like part of the Republican agenda. I like the part about reviewing every government program and eliminating those that are wasteful. Do I think that will ever happen? Me, neither.

Thanks Gasmeterguy! I like the part where every piece of legislation would be measured as to its compatibility with the Constitution ... the real one not the one Obama and his regime use as bathroom tissue.
