New GOP Congressman calls for censoring of news media
Published:

It's a lot different than when the New York Times published information about how the government was conducting surveillance of terrorist financing at the time. By publishing the info, the New York Times took away an essential tool of the government to keep us safe. That was stupid and "evil" of the Times to do.
However, in this case, it is just plain embarrassing. Really, nobody is directly being harmed, even if countries are less apt to tell us stuff in the future.
I loathe the leaks, and I think the guy who stole the documents should be executed for treason. Literally executed. But to say the news media is at fault? No, that's just wrong.
Allen West does need some training on what it means to be conservative. Think about personal liberty FIRST. Government intrusion (such as censoring news media) should be the very LAST option in ALL cases.
