Floaters in my right eye

Published:

Well, If it ain't one thing, it's another.

3 days ago I was bending over to pick something up. As i stood up, a very small black blob/jellybean shaped object appeared at the corner of my right eye. As the day progressed the blob broke into smaller piece and eventually has become into a cobweb strand that is close to the line of vision.

In the past 3 days I've done some research and the best cure is a laser treatment where the doctor zaps the clumps away into a gas thus dissolving the proteins.

The eye has a Vitreous gel that makes up the shape of the eyeball. As a person ages, the gel becomes less solid and liquifies. Some of the gel seeps through a membrane and becomes a floater.

I can't afford the expensive procedure, so hopefully the VA hospital might be able to help me.

The fun never ends.....lol

Below is a video of an actual laser treatment.

Have you searched for alternative treatments? I cured my son's gall stones with an online recipe. Cost: $14. They wanted to remove his gall bladder. Cost: thousands.

I hope you get that fixed as soon as possible. Keep us posted. Especially the part about how good the U.S. heathcare system is, in its present form.

Thanx Rick, but I've done a lot of research and that's about it.

Sully, I'm just glad I don't have to go through what women go through every month....lol

Truecritic, Since there is more money now because of the Obamacare, I'll find some revenue, but only If it's the last hope. I'm hoping the VA will help first.

Thanx, Temptustoo, but thanfully it's only my right eye and not both. It's really not a major issue, just more annoying than anything else. I tend to forget it's even there when I'm concentrating on other things. I eve read yesterday that the brain will eventually consider it as "Noise", and will filter it out.

I've been thru a lot growing up, and this doesn't even phase me in comparison.

Whatever doesn't kill me will only make me stronger....lol
