$4 for gas? Is this price gouging?

Back in the early 60s gas was about $.25 gal. So find the cost of living increase from the 60s to now will give a figure of what it closely will be.
Of course there have been new enviromental standards set in place the last 50 years so we will need to add that cost factor in.
Replacing all those underground tanks at gas stations does not come cheap. Let alone the added cost at the refinery.
Then we got to figure some pocket money for the politicans.
Someone needs to pay that 20 billion dollars that BP incurred in the Gulf.

The consumer is going to pay in the end.

Drill baby drill. BBBRRRRUUUUUUUHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
