Spread propaganda all right. Directed at who? This money for domestic or foriegn policy propaganda?
The media is starting to change in their reporting the last few months I see also. When I see politico title a news story they are taking a butter knife to the budget rather than a machete or scalpel you know it is getting bad.
They must be worried.

She doesn't get it. The lies and propaganda are the reasons for the decline of western media. Nobody likes their intelligence insulted. More money will not solve the credibility problem. Al Jazeera only has to plant a $100 camera to do a better job.

Well, they do need $ to pay journalists to spin stories to their liking. What a shame ;) if they lose some funding. Will journalist start to tell the truth if nobody's buying 'em off? Isn't it ironic we can get real news from Russia Today?
