How ironic that the author of the article actually shows their own stupidity by naming the article "How Dumb Are We?"

"Dumb" is the inability to speak. Or did journalism class stop teaching that? Oh, I forgot, it's a Newsweak article.

Yep, that pretty much sums it up. I think most Americans just really grossly misunderstand the issues, and general ideas.

I was talking to a friend about the possibilities of towns privatizing services. He cringed saying he didn't like the idea of corporations providing services. I had to respond - corporations and businesses aren't evil - and he said the Health Care Corporations are. It kinda went on and on, with me arguing that they aren't inherently evil even if their practices were unfair - and that the current legislation does quite a few things I'm uncomfortable with. I did concede that I didn't know the best solutions to some of those problems, because I was talking about garbage pick up, and other general utility and road up-keep work, and I have looked up figures that suggest privatizing these services would be very beneficial to local budgets, up-keep and economy, while Health Care is something I know little about.
