Radiation Found In CA Drinking Water: 18,000% Above Limit

Published:

My plan: Don't buy bottled water produced in Northern Cali 'cause that's where the worst radiation is showing up.

Yikes!

Yikes is right.

Don't know if this has been brought up before, but still worth repeating:

How to decontaminate radioactive water...http://www.oism.org/nwss/s73p919.htm

Thanx Rick, I'll check it out.

Will the currents carry it into the Gulf of Mexico ?

Areas not directly contaminated by the ocean currents can still be contaminated by precipitation. If/When the rain turns yellow and the TV talking-heads tell you that it's "just pollen" ...

Bad article. If you look at the chart, there was but one sample with this level (20 becquerel per liter) of I-131. The other samples were 2-5 be/l. This is roughly 27-30 times the federal drinking water standard.

Even the 20 be/l they doomsday picked and occured just one time, but they put in the headline = 543 picocurries/liter vs the 3 pico/l drinking level, is 181 times the allowable, though stating it as 18,100% sounds much more dramatic.

Finally, if you read the quotes by the Berkeley researchers for 3/31 -

3/31 (8:00pm): Our first preliminary tap water samples have been analyzed. The only isotope we have detected besides background is I-131, at low significance: 0.024 ± 0.014 Becquerels per liter. This level is much lower than our rain water measurements by a factor of approximately 300, and lower than our milk measurement by a factor of 30. We will be continuing measurements of tap water to confirm this result; the level is so low it is approaching the threshold of detection.

Don't forget to watch Jesse Ventura on Piers Morgan tonight. I'm watching it right now, they are talking about 9/11 and all the blood has drained out of Morgan's face.

Its more the cesium that's the problem. That stuff has a half life of 30 years compared to 7 days for Iodine 131.
Given this experience, I would not want to live in San Luis Obispo right near the Diablo Canyon nuclear plant.

Thanx eddessaknight! When they were building that nuke plant some friends of mine went over there protesting and got arrested along with some movie stars!
