In my last (and only!) blog entry, I posted the P3 numbers categorized by pairs. As I've watched over the years, many love to use pairs as a tool to select numbers. Most workouts produce many pairs to choose from, which can produce a LOT of numbers.  This gave me the idea to try and break them down into something that can be tracked by how many pairs hit in one draw.  The deflation tool here on LP, in conjunction with the list I provide here is a great way to accomplish this. First, how to get your pairs into Deflation 3.   (NOTE: don't mean to insult anyone's intelligence, but I'm explaining in detail for those who need it)! 

Copy the list of numbers I provided into a Word document and save it for future use.  Before you are ready to copy your pair "strings", it would be helpful to group the pairs you produce in your workout in ascending order, which makes it easier to select the strings from the list.  Now I may be stating the obvious here to most, but select the first string in your pair list.  For each subsequent selection, use the Control key and select the next pair string. This will keep the first string selected while selecting the second.  Keep doing this until all the strings are selected from your pair list.  Copy the strings (control C....duh!!).  Then go to the deflation 3 tool and paste them into the tool.  You can use the filters in the tool anyway you see fit.  I usually just group out singles and doubles to keep things less cluttered and group them so I can see the 6-ways and 3-ways separate.

The result is a set of tiers that show you the overlap in your pairs.  For example, if you had the pairs 01, 02, 12 in your pair set, the number 012 would show up in tier 3.  If you only had the 01, 02 in your set, the number 012 would show up in tier 2. 

So why do this to begin with!?  If you find that your workout to produce your pairs frequently pulls out 2 pairs for a lot of draws, then you can focus on the numbers produced in tier 2.  The same holds true if you pull out 3 pairs or 1 pair for a draw.  As you may have guessed, tier 1 has the most numbers in it, followed by tier 2 and then tier 3.
