The reporter did a great job on this story. We don't see that too often these days.

I have a question...why are all of them allowing these criminals to search their vehicles?

If asked to get out of the car, close and lock the door behind you. If they ask to search your vehicle simply say 'No, I do not consent to any searches'. During the filming all of the victims gave away their 4th Amendment rights by consenting to a search.

My guess would be these folks didn't want to get inconvenienced any more than they had to (or shot or framed). Planted contraband, drop-weapons, etc. To have your day in court, first you have to get to court.
