Guess his actions were less offensive than, say, dog-fighting. He'd have served more time.

In recent months there have been many stories of cops gone wild. Most of them aren't even being prosecuted. This guy got a 'tough' sentence from their perspective. Meanwhile a pound of pot will garner a life sentence for a commoner.
