Whew. Life surely gets complicated sometimes, Linda. I feel obliged to voice a few observations about something that's none of my business. Absolutely, positively inappropriate for me to say this, ma'am.

But I'm going to say it anyway. Forgive me.

A man who will screw around on his wife (I did it a lot when I was married, so I speak from experience) probably isn't someone you want to throw out an anchor and try to hold onto.

If he's screwing around on her without her knowing it, that says an awfully lot about the kind of man he is, and what you can expect from him once he's divorced her, supposing he does, and marries you, supposing you're unlucky enough to have that happen.

I'm a man who's done it all, Linda. I know of what I speak. I'm telling you how it is, every time in this kind of situation.

You're a nice lady. You deserve to love yourself better than you are going to love yourself if you become the other woman in a thing of that sort. You deserve to treat yourself better than that.
