Over the years I win between 15% and 20% of what I bet. So if I play $1200 in a year, my average return is about $200.
So, the lottery is not a game where you will PROBABLY make a profit. I play for fun, and for a jackpot. If you play thinking you are going to always make a profit, you are better off with the stock market (maybe), or a casino.

You are absolutely right about not playing to make a profit because you will be very disappointed. Howeve, I know people who use their whole paychecks but hardly ever make a dime, but sometimes get a lucky streak or two. I, myself, have been running a lottery pool for the powerball and this has been much fun and we have been hitting small hits, while putting it back into the system.

I've invested more than I've won..over time..but I still play kuz I have fun..

If your in it to win it,forget it.You play it to have a dream about what you would do if you win the big jackpot.I'll buy a few lottery tickets a month and I'll think about what I'll buy with the jackpot.First thing I'll do is buy a house with beautiful furniture from Europe.And then a car,maybe an Lexus and then go on a fabolous world wide trip with family and a few close friends.And then set up a trust fund for my family.Any day now,my boats coming in.I must go now.It's that time to buy my lottery tickets!.I feel a big win coming!.

You are a man with a plan to come :) At the time when I posted this blog I was pretty pissed off because I had not won anything but since then I have started a lottery pool in my area and it has mushroomed. It is really exciting to see all of us putting out money in a week to see if we hit or not.

if you are in it to win a lot of money. forget it. it about a dream if you hit the big one (million) my's is a nice house,car,truck,boat,share with family and friends.it pay the bill when i hit. i pay up for a month ahead. so i save money also. for me it work ok. most it don't. experiment is best but follow the people that hit for the beginner.
