Would You recognize a Miracle

Published:

"Supposing Him to be the gardener, said to Him, 'Sir, if you have carried Him away, tell me where you have laid Him, and I will take Him away.'" -John 20:15

Mary Magdalene went to Jesus' tomb overwhelmed with grief. Verse 11 goes so far as to tell us that "she stood by the tomb weeping." Grief was all that she could see. Even as Jesus approached her and said, "Woman, why are you weeping, Whom are you seeking?" Even then, Mary could not see her Lord standing right in front of her. In her grief, all she could see was someone her mind told her was the gardener. In her grief, she was unable to see the miracle standing right in front of her.

I've often asked the question, "Would you recognize a miracle if you were standing in the middle of it?" In this instance, Mary could not because her rational mind told her that her Lord was dead. Yet, Christ was and is very much alive and standing right in front of her!

How often do you face trials and your rational mind expects a negative result? Yet, when Christ is the Lord of your life, your expectations should be transformed. Hebrews 11:1 tells us that "Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." Stretch your faith today and see the miracle in which you are standing.

PRAYER:

Heavenly Father, I am standing in the middle of a miracle today! You are delivering me! Even though the waters appear to be towering over me today, I trust You and Your plan for my life. Help me to see past my grief and see Your tremendous love for me. In Jesus' name, Amen.

I guarantee that Christ is working in your life. Are you willing to take off your grief blinders and see what He's up to? What hope glimmers deep in your heart, just waiting for Christ to reveal fully?

To be honest I probably wouldn't see a miracle, because I often look at life through " Rose colored glasses" and don't see the beauty nor what glimmers beyond that. To often I take things as such for granted
