OH, forgot to mention when I was in 3rd grade I had this wild woman for a piano teacher. LOL She taught me all these rockin' tunes on the piano! Like the Boogie Woogie and Blues in the Night, LOL. In fact, one day in 3rd grade I was cutting up during singing and got in trouble. The song the class was singing was Waltzing Matilda. So the teacher said "everyone put your music books away except for Marilou. Come up here in front of the class and bring your music book". So I go up there and teacher says, OK, sing Waltzing Matilda by yourself. Oh geese, I couldn't sing that stupid song so instead I broke into "My mama done told me, when I was in pigtails, my mama done told me hun".. Well, that was pretty racey stuff back then in 3rd grade. The class went wild, even the teacher was grinning. I never lived that down even into high school. Every once and awhile a kid would say to me, "remember when you sang My Moma Done Told Me"?! ( Blues in the Night)
