At least Home Depot Lowes grocery stores etc. are getting a good end of the month bump. Do ya think they are in cahoots?

I was wondering why they shut down all public transportation in NYC today at noon when the storm doesn't hit there until Sunday and the mayor says get out now?

To the best of their ability, they aren't going to let a repeat of the Hurricane Katrina fallout happen.
They would rather risk being perceived as over-reacting than not doing enough.
