Another run at high-numbers triplets

Published:

Hi blogsters:

Hope you're all having a good last day of the first part of your lives.

I am.

I'm going back and trying some things today that probably won't interest you, but I'm using the blog to keep track of which is which method-wise.

California Fantasy 5, draw today

CA Super Lotto, Wed draw

Connectiwhatchallit Cash 5, draw today

For those three I'm running through the high numbers triplets I was touting several months ago, but with some new tweaks.  I never managed to put the validity of that to sleep to my satisfaction, so I'll take a shot at doing it now.

I'll be cooking up some other predictions using other methods today and using the blog to keep track of what I was doing.

Sorry to say I don't have anything much interesting to talk with you about this first day of double ought six.  Maybe later.

Hi TA:

Thanks for the comment.

Yup. 3006 had to be it, as I explained earlier. However, double ought six actually has a lot more appeal as a result.

To be honest, the visuals a person ends up imagining that would result from that .36 inch diameter double ought buck ball trying to pass through a .30 bore is what makes it appealing.

Here's a locked firing chamber holding about 30 grains of powder, a percussion cap, and the end blocked by a projectile .06 inches too large to fit through the exit. Percussion cap ignites the powder, the ball slides up to the entry of the bore and squeezes as hard as it can trying to force it's way inside. It swages into the bore so's there's a really nice seal when it can go no further.

But the power's still burning and pressure is building up with nowhere to go except backward. The bolt is a good one, lets an enormous amount of pressure build up in there before it gives up the ghost and says, "Awww screw it!"

Now everything turns loose back on the shooter end of things. The bolt shoots backward releasing a plasma of fire along with a lot of interesting molten metal and powder debris into some of the more interesting places in the human anatomy. Hoisted on his own petard, that shooter.

That's double ought six at work.

A year to remember.
