I don't think so. Romney would pick a more mainstream politician for a running mate. He already has the "businessman" angle covered -- in himself. So his pick would be someone to shore up his conservative politician credentials. A strong conservative who is currently serving.

Everyone loves Marco Rubio as a running mate, and I would heartily agree. He would be my #1 choice for veep.

A Cain-Christie or Christie-Cain ticket would be far more interesting.

I'm with Todd....I love Marco Rubio...he would be a greating running mate...!!!

I've been committed to Rubio for Veep for awhile - it's the number one spot I'm not committed on yet.
I went from Bachmann to Cain but I'm liking Newt a lot more lately.
One thing for sure is that Newt would take Obama apart in a debate.
And I like his straight talking with out all the carefully-crafted, Politically-Correct, structured and rehearsed answers you get from everybody else.
