Where Do NC lottery money go to?

Published:

I have two daughter in school.  One is on the cheerleaders squad and the other joined the basketball team.  They are at two different schools.  We were to donate money b/c they don't have any money for uniforms.  At the beginning of the school year we were asked to buy books.  What is really happening with the lottery money and our taxes?

Depends on what county you live in - in Charlotte the money went to pay for the New Mint Museum, (of course Bectler didn't need anybody's money but I bet they got some.), the New Harvey Gannt Center, and the New Afro American Cultural Center. They built all of those buildings with the finest trimmings at the Mint Museum.

They closed most of the libraries and schools and keep the teachers laid off. Teachers never know if they will have a job. It's best to keep up with what's going on in the city with the rich folks.

Here with sports at my grand son's school, you have to pay $300 just to try out and if you don't make it - oh well you don't get the money back and of course it depends on the school too.

Wow,
I thought lottery money just went for school financing.
$300.00 to try out for sports. Wow
Where is all this local, state and federal school money going too?

The local, state and federal school restricted money that THEY CAN'T TOUCH goes to building their new schools in their neighborhoods. They have better PTAs and parental involvement.

If you don't live in the neighborhood you can't go to the school. It's turned around like that now. They got real strict with that (especially with the sports team, coaches were building their rosters), you will go to jail if you say you live with your grandmother or something.

I know this because my grandson has been is a football star in high school for a few years.
