It is not necessary for congress to have any large work schedule. All they do up there in congress is sit around and think of things to put thru congress. At the beginning of congress coming together yearly they done their buisness and went home until a special session was called or they met for the next session to begin.
More laws more bulls**t the more time involved. Created their own mess when they went beyond constitutional duties of the federal gov't.

I cringe when I hear someone say they want to end gridlock. Gridlock is a Godsend.
