Dr. Murray Gets 4 Years Max. Prison Sentence*but wait, huh?

Published:

The judge said 4 yrs, the max sentence he could give for involuntary manslaughter. Then the judge said he didn't have the athority to send the DR. to state prison because of the California Realignment Act of 2011. The new law considers involuntary manslaughter a non-violent crime so it go to the county jail system. A CNN lawyer explained what will happen. The county jail system will immediately reduce the sentence to 2 yrs. Then due to overcrowding he will serve that at home.

MJ was hooked. And he hooked the doc with money, now Calif. hooked the people of Cali. for millions for playing along pretending MJ got justice. MJ's family knew he had issues, they are the ones that should be blamed if they gave a rats a$$ about Michael, this would never have happened.

Thanx jarasan! However, you can't blame a family for an adult's drug addiction. It's not like he was 6 yrs. old where they could drag him by the arm to counseling.

I am not blaming his family for his addiction(s), I am blaming them for not being there for him and loving him as a son or brother.   We don't know how so much frinking money can affect family bonds etc.. They may have tried and he blew them off, who knows, but they could have reported the doctors and drug suppliers who had been facilitating his dangerous habits to the authorities and gone from there.

Why should it be for Michael Jackson and not for all of the other celebrity addicts who OD'ed? If he were given drugs to perform as a child to wake up and go to sleep like they did Judy Garland then I can understand but Michael Jackson made himself a drug addict.

Who cares about Michael Jackson being a drug addict - the man is dead. Conrad Murray was found guilty of killing the man and will end up on house arrest. The system in California is so screwed up now that the judge doesn't even how the authority to put CM in state prison where he belongs. Their tourist slogan should be "Come to California where you can get away with murder."

Thanx guys, I've been away from the keys. Well, I was telling my hubby about the sentencing and how he will prolly end up serving time at home wearing one of those ankle bracelets. Hubby says, it's called a "Hollywood Bracelet."
Agree with Starr920 ;)

wtf, I hope the family goes after him for malpractice, clearly he didn't have Michaels best interest at heart, only his wallet.
Any good Dr. would have told him no ..you don't get no more, you need help.
