We live in such a neutered society that it is not surprising to see articles like these. These people won't be happy until little boys are all playing with dolls and wear dresses.

If I were a kid, these new Nerf guns would be the cat's meow. Everyone in the neighborhood would have to have at least one.

Anyone ever participate in a paintball competition? Those things are the wildest, and some of the most fun you'll ever have. But it doesn't mean you're going to go out and hunt people with real guns. But I'm sure the girly-men who write about realistic Nerf guns would think so.
