Guns come in handy for self defense too. I will wager the second intruder had to clean merde out of his drawers too.

They'll wanna lock her up for violating his civil rights, not having a trigger lock on the gun, and not providing the child with ear protection before firing. Additionally, air quality tests will have to be conducted to see if she violated any air quality standards with the gunsmoke and if so, if she provided proper ventilation and/or government approved breathing apparatus for the child and the home invaders. Law and order must be maintained.
