OMG! I almost threw a winning ticket away...

As I mentioned earlier, I don't play too often, but love to play with those lottery numbers and get a thrill when my numbers hit even if I haven't played. Kind of foolish, maybe, but somehow I feel like I am on the right track.  In the last days, I told my family that I need to play my hunches more often because in order to win one must be in it.  And so, I had decided to play a few numbers in the past few days. So, I played 5 Cash 5 numbers, and for once in a blue moon, I decided to play the same numbers for two days. I did this the same day I played my Pick 3 winner (on the 23rd).  The thing is that when the numbers were drawn last night and I didn't see a win, I placed the nonwinning mark I usually do on them and put the ticket aside to save it with the losers in case I ever get the big win deduct it from my taxes. Hahaha. I completely forgot I had two draws in there. Then, when the winners came out tonight, I sort of recognized some of those numbers and decided to look at the old ticket again and it was then that I rejoiced when I saw the two dates on it!  Thirteen dollars is not a high win here, but at least I recouped my $10 plus a little more on it. That was a great feeling anyway.  The winning numbers I had were 6-25-31 (today, 1/24/12). Geez, I hope this doesn't happen to me when I hit that $13M win! That will really be a sad story, at least for me, but not for the Lottery.

I changed the "Played one day too early!" I had written on the ticket to a question instead and with an answer so the lottery clerks don't find out how dumb I was!  Smiley  I also changed my "loser" mark to a flower, well, it's supposed to be a smiling Rose!  Approve

Here's a copy of the ticket:
