No!! Just like Reagan was not a true Goldwater conservative, but a lot of people think so. There has never been anyone like Goldwater, period, regardless of what Nancy spoke about last week.

NO. Neither is his co-star.

@CARBOB: Absolutely correct. You are one of the few who understand political conservatism. Ron Paul is the only true conservative in congress.

Most modern day conservatives are 'social' conservatives spouting family values, moral values and religious beliefs. A true conservative does not want his beliefs and values to be subjected upon others nor does he want others beliefs and values subjected upon him. A true conservative values the rights of the individual above all else and especially above the rights of the collective (mob rule). Modern day 'conservatives' wrote and passed the Patriot Act when they were in power in the legislative and executive branches. How does that law exemplify conservative values? Has everyone lost their mind?

And the Tea Party is neither one, right?

@Rick G: Ron Paul is a libertarian, not a conservative. They have similar roots, but libertarians carry their belief in personal liberty into the theoretical extreme, whereas conservatives believe in a civil society that balances personal liberty with a common baseline of laws based on a shared morality.

I'm sorry to say that patriotic Americans don't have the luxury of choosing the most conservative candidate in this primary season. There isn't a true conservative running anyway.
We have to choose the most electable candidate for the sake of the survival of this nation.
And any one of these candidates would be better than Obama, who is out to destroy America with the full support of every single stupid person in this country. And there's a lot of stupid people - the whole democrat food-stamp nation. They want their free stuff.

Not nearly as tired as I was of hearing "Bush lied, people died" or "Halliburton! Halliburton! Halliburton!" or "Dick Cheney is stealing all our oil!" or "Why does gas cost so much?" (It was $1.86 when Bush left)
How come you libs ain't whining about gas at $3.50 under Obama? A little hypocritical, ain't it?
Get ready, he won't let the pipeline in and it's going to $5 or $6 this summer and y'all won't say a word.
