America, quit whining about gas
Published:
Comments
I understand in Dubai and some Saudi nations that are flush with oil presumably that belong to the people the price of gas is $0.50 a gallon.
The US has an abundance of oil that belong to the people. But oil leases are let out to oil companies at a fixed rate per barrel. Which allows oil companies to charge the people prices based on world prices.
What this country needs is an oil company that produces oil products that belong to the people to begin with for US consumption prices.
Plus the the last I read the US gov't gets $0.46 a gallon in tax from the people skimmed off the top. Charging the American people a tax on something that already belongs to the people.
The last I read Alaska oil profits is distributed to the people yearly as it is the peoples oil of the state.
The lower 48 is getting shafted on oil products that belong to the people.
Unfortunately, all the news media wanted to talk about was her daughter being pregnant and whether her Down's Syndrome child was really hers.
And of course, the constant reminders from geniuses like Bill Maher and Jon Stewart and Keith Olbermann and Chris Matthews and Tina Fey and Saturday Night Live about how stupid she was.
That's where the real hate is, the democrat party.
I heard yesterday about the cost to produce oil from algae the president mentioned for his green energy agenda.
The cost to produce oil per barrel from algae would be like $300.00 per barrel. I do not think that included refining cost.
We can agree on that point Louise Black.
I read multiple news sources and I form my opinion on what I read.
I agree with you on that point too.

Algae biofuel startup Solix, for instance, can produce biofuel from algae right now, but it costs about $32.81 a gallon, said Bryan Wilson, a co-founder of the company and a professor at Colorado State University.
