Radio Shack has always displayed funky attitude towards minorities. I've stood in some of the stores and watched the white employees pretend the blacks or mexicans were not even there. I've seen this attitude since the 1990's.
It's a crime unto itself that the company hasn't eliminated this problem yet. This attitude is not new, just more blatant. Both the manager and the employee should be terminated and not eligible for unemployment benefits. I suspect that this was not the first time the employee has pulled this stunt and the manager covered for the employee in question. Yes the employee apologized. But how in the heck can you classify this as a joke? What's funny about it?

Any manager with any sense would've fired the employee on the spot and notified personnel in corporate along with a copy of the receipt. Instead the manager tried to stall and cover for the employee.

In my opinion I do believe a lawsuit is not warranted and the $100 gift card is an insult. Why would this woman want to return to any Radio Shack again?

The worst part is that people will boycott this company, meanwhile the jerkployee will be somewhere else drawing a paycheck and perhaps losing business for their new boss, too.
