I smell a liberal set up, make the questions so hard and stupid, they will get complaints, that way they can lower expectations by putting very easy questions on the test, that way it's eaiser for less educated to pass.

Sometimes the question is random and pointless. Other times it looks that way, but is designed so that a particular answer reveals something about the personality of the person taking the exam.

The actual questions in the test are not based on the story itself.
