He gives speeches he grew up poor. I do not believe that.
I mentioned before after he leaves office he will be back on the money train.
He earns it so he can spend it anyway they   well want.
I do not know what people expect from a presidental lifestyle while in office or out of office.
Maybe people want them to wear rags and city mission clothing. Live in a shack behind the white house with an outhouse. Eat beans and bread, cornpone, a piece of meat now and then for the stew pot.
To be president today you best have the money for it and be educated on a lot of subject matter. The average guy working for hourly wages will not see a chance at the white house. So fuggetaboutit.

Woo! I guess there wasn't any other President who had an expense account. Woo!!whoo! Better check the Reagans. Jap69 what's with the Sean Hannity talking point it all sound very elite.

I do not know what Hannitys talking point was as I did not hear his talking point. That was my opinion on the role needed for the Presidencys lifestyle.
As far as other presidents expense accounts I read long ago about George Washingtons (I think it was Washington) expense acct as president for his needs. He ran up such a large account that congress had to put linits on it. Cut him off. LOL
