Fluke put herself in the political arena to push an agenda. What are people suppose to do? Oh Fluke said what we should be doing so we will need to follow her wants and pass legislation for it.
Does not happen when there are opposing views on it.
As far as student loans go I posted a link to the various interest rates the gov't charges for different types of loans. Well the gov't is discriminatory for charging different rates for different types. It is all the same money (Gov't money) that is loaned out. There should be one rate for all loans.
How can the gov't or taxpayers lose money on these loans if interest is charged. The taxpayers only front the money but if it is paid back into the pot with interest it should be a self sustaining program after a certain level of principal funds are put into the program. The interest collected should be paying for the fed employees administering the program. There may be default writeoffs now and then but that is part of lending.

This Fatass isn't worth talking about in that spirit! SCREW IT!

How far will they push the envelope, if they allow the condom issue to become a womens health care issue, then how long before the tax payers have to pay for venereal disease treatment in college kids, or roaming freckles, then what, wart removal, breast implants ?
Maybe these college kids should be told about the birds and bees, because somehow, "THE TALK" didn't sink in.
